Had no clue this even existed. And you are right Twitter has done a great thing with taking the first step towards this concept. But apparently in Manhattan and other places, there are social media networking parties and events that require you to have a certain Klout score in order to attend. If you are not familiar with Klout.com, you should check it out. Love it!

I've had tremendous success networking with people after joining groups on LinkedIn. The types of people that are engaged in online group discussions are the ones you want to be doing business with in the first place. Join a group in your area of expertise or interest and start engaging in discussions. People share best practices in there all the time!

Tim,

I completely agree. And, it's usually a good idea to comment on other blogs or sites that are in the same topic area as yours. Because I write mostly about sports, I want to comment on other sports blogs and articles, not fashion or politics. I think we have to keep in mind what our personal brand is and stick to it in our own business, as well as online discussions.

Tim,

I couldn't agree more! And yes, Google's Panda Update did much to hurt site owners because it essentially removed duplicates from Google's Top Ten list in many cases. However, having a Social Media presence is crucial to your success because visitors feel a little less threatened when engaging with you on your Facebook or Twitter page as apposed to your main website. They can get a feel for what you are offering before they visit your site. Stay engaged with these people and enough will come to you!

Something has changed with Overnight Prints recently. I have placed 25+ orders without a problem, but the last 2 have been super slow to print & marred with problems. I will be looking for a new printer.

@Rudy - I agree with you in that I've ordered products from Overnight Prints a number of times and have never had a problem - of course I've also never asked them to rush deliver anything until now.

The bigger concern however is not the quality of the products, but rather the way they responded to a customer complaint - and as I mentioned in the article, in today's virtual world a bad experience can be shared with thousands of people! To me it seems that this is a company (or at least a customer service rep) who doesn't understand that.

I've dealt with Overnight Prints for years.

I've found them to be responsive, and more importantly, have incredibly quality for a very reasonable price.

Sometimes things slip through the cracks, but I would recommend them to anyone.
